Honors Program
The Honors Program at Lipscomb University seeks to provide students with a significant enhancement to the regular curricular offerings. Courses within the program offer more student participation, a deeper exploration of key ideas, and an opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills. In addition to offering different approaches to learning, the courses will expect and demand excellence from students. The program seeks students who have a lot of ambition, who are creative, and who are willing to take some risks to create an outstanding educational experience at Lipscomb University.
As you look around for information, let me call your attention to several places which might help you make a more informed decision about whether or not honors at Lipscomb is what you would like to do. First, I would recommend that you visit the profiles page, where you can read about current students, alums, and the director of the program. I would also recommend that you look at the FAQs page to get some quick answers to the most common questions people ask us about honors. I also hope that you will look at the calendar and the photo gallery so that you can see what we do when we are not in class. You will find plenty of other information on the sight, so enjoy as much of it as you have time for.
